Updated Vaccination Protocol for U.S. and European Cruises

We continue to work with our destination partners to evolve our protocols and align with the broader travel industry, as we transition to the point that everyone can vacation with us.

Starting with September 5th departures, all travelers regardless of vaccination status can cruise on the following itineraries, as long as they meet any testing requirements to board.

Vaccination requirements remain in place until further notice for any homeport not mentioned above. Visit our Getting Ready to Cruise page to view current protocols by homeport.

Other Homeports & Destinations

We are working with local governments in the Eastern Caribbean to align on vaccination requirements for more itineraries. We want to ensure a great experience going ashore at these ports, for guests of any vaccination status, while meeting local health regulations. We’ll have more info in the coming days.

Healthy Ships, Happy Guests

Learn more about the ways we keep our ships sparkling clean and healthy, from sanitized surfaces to air filtration to our newly upgraded medical center.

100% Fresh, Filtered Air

There’s nothing like the fresh air of the open ocean, wherever you are on board. On Royal Caribbean® ships, our HVAC system continuously supplies 100% fresh, filtered air from outdoors to all indoor spaces. You can breathe easy knowing that, thanks to this robust system, the transmission of aerosol particles between spaces (like those from a cough) is extremely low to virtually impossible — as validated in an independent assessment conducted by the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the National Strategic Research Institute on board a Royal Caribbean ship.

Medical Grade Cleaning Standards

Royal Caribbean® takes great pride in keeping our ships sparkling clean. Now, with guidance from our Healthy Sail Panel, we’re going further than ever before. Our new sanitization protocols use EPA-certified disinfectants and techniques like electrostatic fogging to clean frequently and consistently. Plus we’ve reduced the need to touch surfaces wherever possible.

Upgraded Medical Facilities & Expert Care

There’s nothing more important than your health and safety. That’s why we’ve made our high-quality onboard medical care stronger than ever, with more doctors and nurses on each ship and state-of-the-art equipment enhancements. And in the event of a suspected case of COVID-19, we’re fully prepared with immediate medical evaluations, rapid testing, and more critical care beds on each ship.

Safe, Timely Return Home In Any Scenario

In the event a guest or crew member tests positive while we’re sailing, Royal Caribbean® has partnered with local authorities to develop transport protocols to get you home safely.
